Septimus Bloor is the great-grandfather to Ezekiel Bloor. He married Cecilia Dewhurst, and is the father of Maybelle, Beatrice and Bertram Babington Bloor. Shortly before he died in 1865, he wrote a will giving everything he had to Maybelle Raven and her heirs. Later Beatrice, a witch, poisoned Maybelle and wrote a false will giving everything to her brother Bertram and his descendants. Septimus' will plays a large role in the plot of the last three books of the series.
