Miranda Shellhorn (b.1997) is Eric Shellhorn's older sister and the unendowed stepdaughter of Venetia Yewbeam. She owns a dog named Chattypatra, so-called because she barks a lot. Chattypatra is later discovered to be in love with Runner Bean. Miranda finds it hard to call Venetia "mother", as she was terribly cruel and only cared for Eric.
